Why Watch Much Ado About Nothing
Over 400 years after his death, Shakespeare continues to be a writer of the greatest import, with his plays and writings continuing to provide us with rich fodder for the study of the human soul. Many of his themes, ideas, and characters continue to be relevant to us today, a testament to the accuracy of his insights into the spirits and characters of men. A complete tour-de-force of English Literature, there have been few writers, if any, who have rivalled his contributions to the language and his staying power. To watch a performance of a Shakespeare play is to take a leap back through time and space, only to find answers for questions you may have in the present; an informative and entertaining experience thereby guaranteed.
Benedick and Beatrice are a match made in heaven, in the truest sense of the phrase. However, they spend their days outwitting and belittling each other, oblivious to their obvious chemistry. Those around them begin to conspire to bring them together somehow. In the meanwhile, their families are gathering for the wedding of their friends, Claudio and Hero, which is about to be sabotaged by the cruel Don John. Will Claudio’s marriage survive the trials it is set to go through? Will Benedick and Beatrice get together at last? Watch the show and find out!
